Uttarkashi To Gangotri Distance
Uttarkashi is the last major town before Gangotri and serves as a key base and transit point for pilgrims visiting Gangotri. Pilgrims often choose to stay there overnight, due to its great accommodation options and transportation facilities, with regular taxis and shared vehicles available to reach the temple comfortably.
The route from Uttarkashi to Gangotri passes through Harsil and Bhaironghati, with beautiful views of snow-clad mountain peaks, dense forests, and the Bhairathi River.

Gangotri To Kedarnath Distance
During the Chardham yatra, pilgrims visit the
Kedarnath Temple after covering the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. Kedarnath is considered the third shrine among the four sacred shrines of Char Dham, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The base point for the
Kedarnath trek, Gaurikund, is easily accessible by road from Gangotri; from there, a hazardous trek is required to reach the temple, which takes 6 to 7 hours.
