The hike to the temple is relatively short but steep, and the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. Devprayag is a town of spiritual and geographical importance, as it marks the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers and is a part of Panch Prayags in India, which together form the holy Ganges. This is a small trek of just 5 kms from Chopta to Chandrashila with a gentle gradient, so you can also do it with your family and even with kids aged more than 11 years.
