Things to Consider Before the Moila Top Trek

Moila Top can be visited throughout the year — the only months to avoid are the monsoon months of July and August, when the trail turns muddy and hazardous. March to June and September to October offer the clearest trails, while winter brings a chance of snow if you don't mind the cold. It's an easy to moderate trek on gentle, well-marked paths, so it suits beginners and first-time trekkers as much as experienced ones. A local forest entry fee of ₹50 is collected at the forest checkpoint, so keep a small amount of cash handy for this on the day of the trek. Mobile network coverage is minimal along the trail, so let someone know your plans before you set off and don't rely on being reachable.
