Yes. We visit Budha Madhyamaheshwar on Day 3 of the trip, after the temple darshan, weather permitting. It is a scenic meadow about 2 km above the Madhyamaheshwar temple, with close views of the Chaukhamba peaks at sunrise.
You stay in a homestay or camp at Ransi village on Days 1 and 3, and in a camp near the Madhyamaheshwar temple on Day 2. Stays are on quad sharing by default, and you can upgrade to triple or double sharing at extra cost.
Manchala Mushafir's Madhyamaheshwar package costs ₹9,000 per person from Delhi and ₹7,500 from Haridwar or Rishikesh for 1–3 people on quad sharing, falling to ₹8,100 and ₹6,600 for groups of 16 or more, plus 5% GST. Yes, beginners with basic fitness can do the Madhyamaheshwar trek, as it has no technical sections. But Day 2 is a long 16–18 km climb from Ransi (about 1,890 m) to the temple (3,497 m), so you should be comfortable walking 10–12 km a day with 600–800 m of climbing. The trip suits ages 10 to 60.
In 2026 the temple closes for winter on 16 November, and the doli reaches the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath on 19 November. The 2027 opening date is announced in spring and is usually in late May; our first 2027 batch leaves Delhi on 4 June.
Choose a June batch for green meadows and pleasant days, or a September–October batch for the clearest views of the Chaukhamba peaks after the monsoon. We do not run batches in July and August because of heavy rain and landslide risk.
If the administration suspends the Madhyamaheshwar yatra or the road is closed before your trip, Manchala Mushafir lets you choose either a free date change to a later batch or a credit note for the amount you paid, to use on a future trip.
Ponies, palki and porters are not included, but they can be arranged at Ransi on request. Porters usually charge about ₹700–1,000 per day plus their food; pony and palki rates are set locally and confirmed at Ransi.
Yes. Manchala Mushafir can arrange a private Madhyamaheshwar trip for your family or group on dates of your choice, in a Swift Dzire, Ertiga, Innova or Tempo Traveller depending on group size, and add places like Tungnath, Kalpeshwar or Kedarnath. Call or WhatsApp 9311052232 for a quote.
