Before You Book: Good to Know

  • Season: the temples are open from about May to October. Our batches run in June and September, after all five temples open and before Rudranath closes in mid-October. No July–August departures because of heavy rain and landslides.
  • Winter: four temples close for winter (Kalpeshwar stays open), and our batches run only when all five are open. See where the deities spend the winter in our guide to the winter seats.
  • ID and registration: a government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport or driving licence) is mandatory for every traveller; we complete the Kedarnath yatra registration for you.
  • Fitness: be comfortable walking 16–18 km in a day with 1,000 m or more of climbing. Start walking or stair training a few weeks before the trip.
  • Age: 12 to 60 years. Under-18s travel with a parent or guardian; travellers over 60 need a doctor's fitness certificate.
  • Ponies and helicopter: ponies and palkis are available at Kedarnath and on parts of other trails at local rates, and Kedarnath helicopter tickets can be added on request; none are included.
  • Network and power: mobile network is patchy beyond the road heads and electricity on the trails is limited, so carry a power bank.
  • If the yatra is suspended: if the administration suspends the yatra or closes a road before your trip, choose a free date change to a later batch or a credit note for the amount paid.

Panch Kedar Yatra Package FAQs

Manchala Mushafir's Panch Kedar Yatra package is 12 days and 11 nights from Haridwar or Rishikesh, covering Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath and Kalpeshwar in their traditional order. From Delhi, add an overnight bus each way. The duration can vary with trekking pace, weather and road conditions.

Manchala Mushafir's Panch Kedar Yatra package costs ₹36,000 per person from Haridwar or Rishikesh and ₹37,500 from Delhi for 1–3 people on quad sharing, falling to ₹32,500 and ₹34,000 for groups of 16 or more, plus 5% GST. It includes transport, 11 nights' stay, 11 breakfasts and 11 dinners, permits, Kedarnath registration and a certified trek leader.

The group starts at 5:00 AM on Saturday from Haridwar Railway Station, where our vehicle waits in the designated parking area. Rishikesh travellers are picked up at Tapovan on the way. From Delhi, you take our overnight bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate on Friday night and reach Haridwar before 5:00 AM.

Manchala Mushafir's 2027 Panch Kedar batches start from Haridwar on Saturday 5 June, 19 June, 4 September, 18 September and 25 September 2027, with the Delhi bus leaving the night before. The dates fall after all five temples open in May and before Rudranath closes in mid-October.

Yes, with preparation. The yatra has five treks of different difficulty and long road journeys, adding up to about 120–135 km of walking over 12 days. Beginners in good health can do it if they train for a few weeks and walk at a steady pace with our trek leader. Rudranath is the hardest day.

Rudranath is the toughest of the five treks, with about 20 km each way and a high point near 4,000 m at Pitradhar. Manchala Mushafir places a short drive and rest day before it (Day 8) and splits it over three days: Sagar to Lyuti Bugyal, Lyuti Bugyal to the temple and back, and the descent to Sagar, with two nights in camp at Lyuti Bugyal. Kalpeshwar and Tungnath are the easiest treks; Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar are moderate, each about 16–18 km one way.

From Delhi, Manchala Mushafir's Panch Kedar Yatra costs ₹37,500 per person for 1–3 people on quad sharing, falling to ₹34,000 for groups of 16 or more, plus 5% GST. This includes the overnight bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Haridwar on Friday night and back after the yatra, along with everything in the Haridwar package.

Only Kedarnath has a helicopter service, from helipads in the Kedar valley such as Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi. Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath and Kalpeshwar can only be reached on foot, with ponies available on some trails. Helicopter tickets are not included in the package, but we can help you add a Kedarnath helicopter on a private trip, subject to availability.

Take a train to Haridwar or a flight to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport, which is about 35 km from Haridwar and 20 km from Rishikesh, and reach by Friday night. The group starts at 5:00 AM on Saturday from Haridwar Railway Station, with a pickup at Tapovan in Rishikesh on the way, so choose Haridwar or Rishikesh as your pickup when booking.

The package includes transport for the whole 12-day road journey from Haridwar or Rishikesh and back, hotel, homestay and camp stays on shared basis, veg meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 12 breakfast, trek permits, camping fees and Kedarnath registration, a certified trek leader, a local driver, toll and parking charges, and a first-aid kit with an oxygen cylinder and crampons.

Click Book Now on this page, choose your pickup point (Haridwar, Rishikesh or Delhi), pick a date and pay either 25% in advance or the full amount. If you need help with booking, call or WhatsApp 9311052232.

Electricity on the Panch Kedar trails is very limited or absent, and mobile network is patchy beyond the road heads. Towns and bases such as Guptkashi, Chopta, Ransi and Gopeshwar have regular power and charging points in most stays, so carry a power bank for the trek days.

If the administration suspends the yatra or closes a road before your trip, Manchala Mushafir lets you choose a free date change to a later batch or a credit note for the amount you paid. If weather blocks one temple during the trip, the trek leader reschedules or skips that day for safety.

Yes. Manchala Mushafir can arrange a private Panch Kedar Yatra for your family or group on dates of your choice, with a Swift Dzire, Ertiga, Innova or Tempo Traveller depending on group size, extra rest days, or a helicopter for Kedarnath. Call or WhatsApp 9311052232 for a quote.
