Rudranath Trek Package Overview
Manchala Mushafir's Rudranath trek package is a 5 days / 4 nights group trek that starts at 5:00 AM on Saturdays from Haridwar, with an overnight AC bus from Delhi on Friday night. It costs ₹12,000 per person from Delhi or ₹10,500 from Haridwar/Rishikesh (+5% GST) on quad sharing, and includes transport, a homestay at Sagar, camps at Lyuti Bugyal and near the temple, 4 breakfasts and 4 dinners, forest entry and trek permits, and a certified trek leader (one for every 20 travellers).
Rudranath, at 3,600 m (11,800 ft) in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, is the toughest and least visited Panch Kedar temple, where Lord Shiva's face is worshipped. The trek passes through rhododendron forest and wide bugyals (alpine meadows), and the quiet, uncrowded shrine makes it an authentic Himalayan pilgrimage.
Best for: physically fit trekkers, devotees and families who want a fixed-departure Rudranath trek from Delhi, Haridwar or Rishikesh, with camps and meals arranged.

Before You Book: Good to Know
- Season: book a June batch for green meadows, or September to early October for the clearest views. No July–August departures because of heavy rain and slippery trails.
- Dates: 2027 departures run in June and September to early October; see our Rudranath Temple guide for the official opening and closing dates.
- ID: a government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport or driving licence) is mandatory for every traveller, and you carry the trek permit slip on the trail.
- Fitness: be comfortable walking 10–12 km a day with 800–1,000 m of climbing. Day 3 crosses Pitradhar at about 4,000 m, and some prior trekking experience is recommended.
- Age: 12 to 60 years. Under-18s travel with a parent or guardian; travellers over 60 need a doctor's fitness certificate.
- Ponies and porters: local ponies and porters are available on parts of the trail but numbers are limited and they are paid locally, so pack light and carry your own daypack.
- Network: mobile network is patchy after Sagar and usually absent near the temple.
- If the yatra is suspended: if the administration suspends the yatra or closes the road before your trip, choose a free date change to a later batch or a credit note for the amount paid.
