Kheerganga Trek Itinerary (Day-Wise)

Day 0 (Thursday): Delhi to Kasol (Delhi package)

- Board our AC semi-sleeper bus at Majnu Ka Tilla on Thursday evening and meet your trek leader.
- Overnight drive from Delhi to Kasol in the Parvati Valley, with a dinner stop on the highway (at your own cost).
Day 1 (Friday): Kasol Arrival and Exploration (Delhi package)
Stay: Hotel/camp in Kasol | Meals: Dinner
- Reach Kasol in the morning, check in to the hotel or campsite and freshen up.
- Explore Kasol and Chalal, walk along the Parvati River and try the local cafés.
- Evening trek briefing, then dinner and overnight stay in Kasol.
Day 2 (Saturday): Kasol to Barshaini to Rudranag Camp
Drive: Kasol to Barshaini, 17–18 km | Trek: Barshaini to Rudranag camp | Stay: Alpine camp at Rudranag | Meals: Breakfast (Delhi package) and Dinner
- Kasol and Barshaini packages start today. Kasol guests meet us in Kasol in the morning; Barshaini guests meet us at Barshaini.
- After breakfast, drive from Kasol to Barshaini, where the Tosh and Parvati rivers meet, and start the trek.
- Walk through forest, past waterfalls and the villages of Kalga and Pulga, and stop at Rudra Nag Waterfall.
- Check in to our alpine camp at Rudranag, just below Kheerganga, by the afternoon.
- Evening with the group, dinner and overnight stay in tents at Rudranag.
Day 3 (Sunday): Kheerganga Top, Then Down to Barshaini and Kasol

- Start early and hike up from Rudranag to Kheerganga top, reaching it around 7–9 AM, well within the Forest Department’s visiting hours.
- Take a dip in the hot springs (Parvati Kund), visit the Shiva temple and enjoy the morning views.
- Walk back to camp for breakfast, pack up and trek down to Barshaini. The Barshaini package ends here.
- Kasol and Delhi packages: drive back to Kasol (included). The Kasol package ends in Kasol.
- Delhi package: stop at the hot springs of Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara and Shiva temple, then board the evening AC semi-sleeper bus to Delhi.
Day 4 (Monday): Arrive in Delhi (Delhi package)

- Why Rudranag: overnight camping on the Kheerganga meadow has not been allowed since July 2024, so we camp below and hike to the top early the next morning
- Good to know: visiting hours and winter access are set by the forest checkpost; December trips also depend on snow

Kasol Kheerganga Trek Overview
Kheerganga is a meadow at about 2,960 m in the Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh, and one of the most popular weekend treks near Delhi.
- Trail: 12 km from Barshaini (17–18 km beyond Kasol) through pine and oak forest, over wooden bridges

- Be physically ready: prepare your body and mind for long gradual climbs, sudden weather changes and the change in altitude.

- Leave no trace: follow mountain ethics, respect the environment and carry your waste back down.

Kheerganga Trek FAQs
Per person on quad sharing, the Kheerganga trek costs ₹1,500 from Barshaini, ₹2,500 from Kasol and ₹6,500 Delhi to Delhi by AC semi-sleeper bus for 1–3 people, falling to ₹900, ₹1,900 and ₹5,900 for groups of 16 or more. Triple sharing is ₹500 more and double sharing ₹1,000 more per person. 5% GST is extra, and you can book with a 25% advance.
Overnight camping on the Kheerganga meadow has not been allowed by the Himachal Forest Department since July 2024. We stay in our alpine camp at Rudranag, just below Kheerganga, with sleeping bags, separate toilet tents and a dining tent, and hike to the hot springs at the top. Delhi package guests also stay one night in Kasol.
All packages include forest permits, one night in the Rudranag camp with dinner and breakfast, camping gear, a trek leader and first aid with an oxygen cylinder. The Kasol package adds the Kasol–Barshaini–Kasol transfer, and the Delhi package adds the AC semi-sleeper bus from Delhi and back, a night in Kasol with dinner and breakfast, and a Manikaran Sahib visit.
We use an AC semi-sleeper bus only; there is no sleeper option. The bus leaves from Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, near Vidhan Sabha Metro, in the evening of Day 0, and returns from Kasol on the evening of Day 3.
Our 2026 batches run every week from 12 November: the Delhi bus leaves on Thursday night and you are back in Delhi on Monday morning. November is cold and clear. From December the upper trail can get snow, so December departures depend on snow and on Forest Department access; if we cancel a batch, you can move to another date or get a refund.
Yes. The trek is about 12 km one way from Barshaini, so a fit trekker can do it as a long day hike. We recommend at least one night at the Rudranag camp so you can complete it comfortably without rushing.
Yes. You trek in a group with an experienced trek leader who knows the trail and weather, separate toilet tents for men and women, and a first-aid kit and oxygen cylinder on every batch.
Barshaini, the starting point of the Kheerganga trek, is about 17–18 km from Kasol. The Kasol and Delhi packages include the transfer.
If you paid in full, you get a 100% refund 15 or more days before the trek, 93% for 7–14 days, 70% for 4–6 days and no refund within 3 days. If you paid the 25% advance, it is 100% at 15 or more days, 75% for 7–14 days and no refund within 6 days.
Both are beginner-friendly. Triund is shorter (about 6 km from Gallu Devi) and easier, with views of the Dhauladhar range; Kheerganga is longer (about 12 km) and adds hot springs at the top. If it is your very first trek, start with our Triund trek package.
