Best Route: The Journey from Delhi to Uttarkashi follows the NH-34 route passing via Meerut, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Narendranagar, Chamba, New Tehri,  Dharasu, and then Uttarkashi.


Travel Tip: Start your trip early from Delhi to avoid traffic, and plan your trip with an overnight stay in Haridwar or Rishikesh. 



Dehradun to Uttarkashi Distance

Dehradun is one of the major transport hubs of Uttarakhand, chosen by many travellers. The distance from Dheradun to Uttarkashi is approximately 144 km, and it will take around 5-7 hours, depending on vehicle type and road conditions.

Recommended route: The route from Dehradun to Uttarkashi is very scenic and passes via Dehradun, Mussorie, Suwakholi, and Chinyalisaur, and then joins the NH-34 route for Uttarkashi

Haridwar To Uttarkashi Distance

Primary route:  follows the NH-34 route, passing via Haridwar, Dehradun, Vikasnagar,  Barkot, and Uttarkashi. 


Travel Tip
: Hire a driver who has driving experience in the mountain area, as the route from Haridwar to Uttarkashi is very hilly with narrow and sharp turns. 


Rishikesh To Uttarkashi Distance

Rishikesh, well known as the "Yoga Capital of India", is the favourite starting point for most of the devotees. As it offers a 360-degree scope of pilgrimage, adventure, clubbing and many more. Out of all these, Rishikesh river rafting is the most loved. 

The total road distance from Rishikesh to Uttarkashi is 162 kms and can be covered in a duration of 5 to 6 hours comfortably.

: The Route from Rishikesh to Uttarkashi is hilly with lots of curly bends. Prefer to hire a local driver with you having good experience of driving in the mountain region. 

Uttarkashi To Gangotri Distance

The Distance from Uttarkashi to Gangotri is approximately 100 km. The journey follows the NH-34 route and takes almost 3-4 hours to complete. 


Recommended Route: NH-34, passing via Bhatwari, Dharasu, Maneri and Gangnani.
