Govindghat To Valley Of Flowers Distance
Govindghat is the primary starting point of the Valley of Flowers, located at an altitude of around 1828 meters (6000 feet), and lies on the way to the Badrinath temple.
The distance from Haridwar to Govindghat is 17 km by trek. It is typically completed in two stages; firstly, trek to Ghangaria from Govindghat, about 14 km, takes around 5-7 hours, and from Ghangaria, there is another 4 km final stretch to reach the valley.
Travel tip: Properly acclimate yourself before heading for a trek, and choose an overnight stay at Ghangaria.
Ghangaria To Valley of Flowers Distance
Ghangaria is another primary base for the Valley of Flowers trek. The distance to the Valley of Flowers from Ghangaria is 4 km and takes around 2 hours, depending on your pace and fitness level.
During this stretch, you can see the first glimpse of the valley and may encounter the rare floral species, like Brahma Kamal and Blue Poppy.
