Distance: 220 KM | Duration: 5-6 Hours
After reaching New Delhi Railway Station in the morning, you can take the metro directly to Kashmiri Gate. From there, your journey from Delhi to Haridwar will begin by semi-sleeper bus, departing between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM from ISBT Kashmiri Gate. By evening, you will arrive in Haridwar, where you will check into your hotel. Later, you may also choose to explore the spiritual charm of the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, before returning to your hotel for rest in preparation for the next day’s journey.
Distance: 203 KM | Duration: 8-10 Hours | Night Stay: Guptkashi (Resort)
The journey will start upon boarding the vehicle, where you are requested to place your luggage in the designated space and settle in comfortably. The drive from Haridwar to Rishikesh covers about 25 km on a smooth and well-maintained road.
From Rishikesh, the route continues 140 km along NH 58 towards Rudraprayag, offering a scenic and comfortable drive with gentle hilly curves. The final stretch from Rudraprayag to Guptkashi spans around 45 km on NH 109—while the first 35 km are smooth, the last 10 km are narrower and less developed, usually taking 1 to 1.5 hours. Along the way, the journey passes through culturally significant and picturesque spots such as Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Dhari Devi. Upon arrival at Guptkashi, you will check into a resort nestled in the serene mountains, enjoy a peaceful dinner, and rest in preparation for the trek ahead.
Drive: 35 KM | Trek: 16 KM | Night Stay: Kedarnath
Early in the morning, between 3:00 and 4:00 AM, the team with the guide will leave for Sonprayag to begin the next phase of the journey. The 30 km drive from Guptkashi to Sonprayag is on a single-lane, less-maintained road, making the ride slow and bumpy.
From Sonprayag, a government taxi will cover the 5 km steep and winding ascent to Gaurikund, where the trek to Kedarnath begins. The trail gradually ascends along the Mandakini River up to Rambara Bridge, after which the climb becomes steeper until Badi Linchauli, easing again before the final 1.5 km stretch that leads to the Kedarnath Temple. Accommodation will be arranged at a nearby hotel, allowing you to rest and prepare for the next day’s activities.
Trek: 16 KM | Drive: 35 KM | Night Stay: Guptkashi
This is the much-awaited day of Darshan. You will need to be ready by 4:00 AM to join the queue at Kedarnath Temple. After completing Darshan, the group will visit Bhairav Baba Temple, about 800 meters away, with the first part of the trek being quite steep. Following the visit, a light breakfast will be served before starting the descent to Gaurikund around 9:00 AM.
The return trek is easier and quicker, taking about 30–40% less time than the ascent. From Gaurikund, a taxi will take the group back to Sonprayag or Sitapur, after which the journey continues to Guptkashi. On arrival, enjoy dinner at the resort and rest for the night.
Distance: 420 KM | Duration: 16-18 Hours
After breakfast, the group will depart from Guptkashi around 7:00 AM for the return drive to Rishikesh via NH 109 and NH 58, retracing the scenic route taken earlier. On arrival at Rishikesh, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an adventurous 12 km river rafting experience on the Ganga, guided by professional instructors with full safety gear.
The activity lasts about 3–4 hours, combining thrill with breathtaking views of the mountains and river. After rafting, the group will board a semi-sleeper bus from Rishikesh for the onward journey to Delhi.
Distance: 2350 KM | Duration: 40-42 Hours
From Rishikesh, the group will proceed by semi-sleeper bus to New Delhi Railway Station, arriving in time to board the train for Bangalore. Reserved berths will be arranged to ensure a comfortable overnight journey, allowing you to rest after the adventurous days in the Himalayas. During the train ride, you will pass through varied landscapes—from the plains of North India to the lush greenery of central regions—providing a scenic and relaxed travel experience.

Here are the major sightseeing locations covered during your Kedarnath trip from Bangalore:
Dhari Devi temple:- Dhari Devi Temple is considered the guardian deity of the Char Dham temples. Located between Srinagar and Rudraprayag on the banks of the Alaknanda River, this temple holds immense spiritual importance.

Dev Prayag:- Devprayag is the sacred confluence (Sangam) where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the holy River Ganga. It is one of the Panch Prayag of Uttarakhand.

Luxury and private package travellers are given time to attend the Aarti ceremony. Pilgrims may also take a holy dip, following guide instructions and safety precautions.

Vishwanath Temple
Ardhanareshwar Temple
This town also serves as a key halt before the Kedarnath trek.
