When I visited Devprayag, I started my journey from Delhi. I took a direct Volvo bus to Haridwar, and from there, I hired a shared taxi to Devprayag. The route was scenic and comfortable, and this is one of the easiest ways to reach for anyone coming from northern India.
If you are traveling from another city or abroad, the best option is to first reach Delhi, as it’s the most well-connected point in India for Devprayag.

Step 2: Haridwar / Rishikesh to Devprayag by road
After reaching Haridwar/ Rishikesh you can move further by transportation options like Bus, Cab/Taxi or Shared Jeep. From here only you can travel by road, their is no connectivity by flight and train.

Haridwar → Rishikesh → Shivpuri → Byasi → Kaudiyala → Devprayag
Road Condition-
The route is good for regular vehicles under normal conditions, as long as you travel during daylight, avoid heavy rain periods, and allow buffer time for possible delays.
Note- If travelling in monsoon or early/late season, plan for slower pace and check local road updates.
In the dry season (October–May), the Haridwar/Rishikesh–Devprayag drive generally runs close to the standard 2–3.5 hour estimate above.
