About Paragliding in Bir Billing
Bir Billing is one of India's best-known paragliding sites, and it hosted the Paragliding World Cup in 2015. You take off from Billing, at about 8,000 ft (2,400 m), and fly over the valley to the Chowgan landing ground in Bir, at 5,003 ft (1,525 m).
The flight is tandem: a certified pilot flies with you, so no experience is needed. Choose your package and time slot, then pay 25% to confirm the booking.

Step 1: Check-in and briefing
After you reach the Bir landing site, meet our team. They brief you on the flight, the precautions and the landing.
Step 2: Transfer from Bir to Billing
After the briefing, you are driven by road from the landing point to the Billing take-off point, 14 to 15 km away. The drive takes 30 to 45 minutes.

At Billing, a certified tandem pilot takes you through the flight from start to finish.

Step 4: Landing in Bir
Your pilot explains the landing. Follow their instructions for a smooth landing at the designated ground in Bir.

- Follow your tandem pilot's instructions.
- Run with energy, and keep running until the pilot tells you to stop.
- The running speed depends on the wind.
- A proper run is the most important part of the take-off. If you do not run properly, you and your pilot can be thrown off balance and fall.

- Stunts are not safe. They put pressure on the ropes, straps and carabiners.
- Do not try to take control of the glider from your pilot.

Flying is closed from 15 July to 15 September because of the monsoon. It resumes on 16 September.

Paragliding depends on the weather. Rain, wind, snow or thunder can stop a flight. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you can reschedule it or get a full refund.
